  • Visit the Official Website of the Income Tax Department.
  • It takes the online user to the below-shown page.

  • On the Home Page in Menu Bar, Click on the Tax Payer Services.
  • It redirects to the following page, where the applicant can see the following services.

  • Click on the Tax Refund from the available options.
  • It then takes the online applicant to the Refund Tracking Page.
  • On the newly opened page, read out the instructions mentioned about the refund.

  • Enter the PAN Number and Assessment Year.
  • Here the applicant has selected the Assessment Year as 2019.
  • Enter the Captcha Code for Security.
  • Click on the Proceed button.
Apply Income Tax Refund Status
  • After clicking on the proceed button, it shows the refund status, as shown below.
  • On the Refund Status Page, you can find the PAN Number, Assessment Year, Mode of Payment, Reference Number, Status, Account Number, and the Date.

  • Visit the Official Website of the Income Tax Department.
  • It takes the online user to the below-shown page.

  • It redirects to the following page, where the applicant can see the following services.
  • Click on the Request for Refund from the available options.

  • It then redirects the applicant to the website incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.
  • Click on the ‘My Account’ from the Menu Bar.
Request for Refund Re-issue
  • Click the ‘Service Request’ link.
  • In the Request Type Select New Request’, and in the ‘Request Category Select Refund Reissue.
  • Now Click on the Submit button.

  • The applicant can find details such as PAN, Return Type, Assessment Year, Acknowledgement Number, Communication Reference Number, Reason for Refund Failure, and Response on the newly opened page.
Request for Refund Re-issue
  • Click on the Submit Button under the Response column. 
  • It then displays all the pre-validated bank accounts with status validated/validated.

  • The candidate should select the bank account to which the tax refund to be credited and click on the continue button.
  • It then displays the details such as the Bank Account Number, IFSC Code, Bank Name, and Account Type.
  • Verify the details and click on OK if details are correct 
  • Now you can find the options for e-Verification in the dialogue box.

  • Choose the appropriate mode of e-Verification.
  • Generate and enter the Electronic Verification Code (EVC) or Aadhaar OTP as applicable to proceed with the request submission.
  • The applicant can find the success message confirming the Refund re-issue request submission.

  • Now, the applicant can Login into the e-filing portal, as explained in the below sequence.
  • My Account> Click Service Request> Select the Request Type as View Request and Select the ‘Request Category’ as Refund Re-issue.
  • Click on the Submit Button.
  • Now, the applicant can Login into the e-filing portal, as explained in the below sequence.
  • My Account> Click Service Request> Select the Request Type as View Request and Select the ‘Request Category’ as Refund Re-issue.
  • Click on the Submit Button.
