UIDAI Aadhaar Card Download : UIDAI myAadhaar is a dedicated portal to download aadhaar card. This portal allows you to download electronic aadhaar card i.e. E-Aadhaar in pdf format. You can take print of this digital aadhaar card on PVC or paper as per your requirements.

UIDAI Aadhaar Card Download

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is responsible body for issuing Aadhaar cards. The process to obtaining biometrics and then issuing the aadhaar card is under UIDAI.

After you apply for new aadhaar card, your aadhaar card is sent to your address via post. Although, officially, as per UIDAI it must reach you within a month, it can actually take upto 3 Months. In some cases it has been observed that Physical aadhaar card is not received after various months.

That’s why it is recommended that once you apply for aadhaar card, you download the digital copy and take print.

Information Required to Download aadhaar Card

To download your aadhaar card, you need to provide any of these three :

Aadhaar Number : If you are an existing aadhaar card holder, you can easily download your aadhaar card by providing aadhaar number.

Enrollment ID : If you have applied for new aadhaar, you can download your aadhaar card pdf by providing the Enrollment ID (EID)

Virtual ID : If you have 16 digits Virtual ID, you can download aadhaar card.

Apart from any of these three, you need to have access to registered mobile number. To be able to download your aadhaar card online, you need to provide OTP received on your registered mobile number.

How to Download Aadhaar Card

As mentioned above, you can provide any of the above given details – Aadhaar number, enrollment id or virtual id to get pdf of your E- aadhaar. Let’s understand them one by one.

Aadhar Card download by enrollment no

Those who have applied for new card are given enrollment number. You can download your aadhaar card using this enrollment no few days after the application. The process is as follows:

• Go to myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in
• Select enrollment ID

• Now, enter your 28 Digit Enrollment ID (EID)
• Then Enter the Captcha code and click on “Send OTP”
• Enter the received OTP to download aadhaar.

Download Original Aadhaar Card by Aadhaar Number

• Go to myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in
• Make sure you have selected aadhaar number.
• Click on “Download Aadhaar”
• Now, you are redirected to another page.

• Now enter your Aadhaar number, Enrollment ID or Virtual ID.
• Then enter the Captcha (code that appears on screen)
• Then, click on “Send OTP”

• Now, you will receive an SMS on Aadhaar registered mobile number.

• Enter the received OTP in the aadhaar download page.

• Then, click on “Verify & Download”
• If the OTP entered by you is correct, you shall see this page:

and e aadhaar pdf will be downloaded to your computer on mobile automatically.

Similarly, you can download the aadhaar card using Virtual ID (VID) if you have one.

E Aadhaar Card PDF Password

The downloaded aadhaar card is in PDF format and password protected. To open the E aadhaar pdf file, you need to enter the password.

The password to open downloaded aadhar card pdf file is of 8 characters. These 8 characters are combination of first four letters of your Name in Capital letters and your birth year in YYYY format.

For example – If your name is Ankush Singh and Your Date of Birth is 2 March 1990, the password to open your Aadhaar card is ANKU1990.
