To apply for the Community certificate you need to complete a few steps,
- You should register yourself in the Tamilnadu E-Sevai portal
- Then you should check for the access to your application form

- Go to Tamilnadu e sevai portal and click on the citizen’s login, in case you are a new user to get registered click on the new user option

- In the registration form accessed you will be asked to fill in your details and fill appropriate details in fields that are mandatory to be answered

- To the mobile number you have enrolled during registration you might be receiving an OTP(one-time-password) and using this OTP get yourself registered in the E Sevai portal
- Once you have completed your registration then just log in through identification on the website
- Select revenue department on the website as this department carries out the function of application for Community certificate
- Select REV-101 COMMUNITY CERTIFICATE from the list given on the website and then click on the proceed button given

- Community certificate applications require applicants to have a unique CAN number.CAN number is the unique Citizen Access Number, which is mandatory for all applicants to receive a Community certificate

- You should go to the website and click on the register CAN button to start your registration
- There will be certain columns to fill your details and these are mandatory. Just fill those columns with the appropriate details
- Click on the register button to ensure submission of your application to the CAN
- On your full and proper registration, your CAN number can be accessed

- You are asked to fill in your CAN NUMBER and search for your details
- If you have a different number your details will be visible when you click on the search the record button
- Just tap on proceed button
- Your details will be visible over a form and this will appear as a previously typed version this will include all your details such as current and permanent address details and your contact details will be included
- Then edit and enter the family member details of you
