National Institute of open schooling (NIOS) offers ODE (On-Demand examination) to the secondary and Sr. Secondary students every year. Those who wish to apply for the 10th and 12th examinations can visit the NIOS website and apply for the same.

But to make the process a little easier, we will provide you the step-by-step information on how to apply for NIOS ODE 2022

NIOS ODE Registration

For a very long time, the National Institute of Open Schooling has been studying the feasibility and operationalization of the On-Demand Examination (ODE) concept at the secondary level. The concept of ODE represents a significant step toward increasing the flexibility of open and distance learning. It ensures that the examination system is time-independent and will enable students to schedule examinations according to their preferences and preparation. The fundamental premise of the On-Demand Examination is that a NIOS student may enter the examination center whenever he or she feels prepared for the examination.

You need to follow the simple steps given below to register for NIOS ODE for both secondary (10th) and senior secondary (12th) classes:

NIOS On Demand Exam – NIOS ODE Apply Online 2021-22

STEP 1: Visit the portal sdmis.nios.ac.in

STEP 2: Click on admissions, and a drop-down menu will appear

STEP 3: Then Click on On-Demand, and another menu will follow. Now choose Jan 2022 to Mar 2022.

STEP 4: A new page will open, containing six sections.

These sections are as follows:

• Choose State/UT
• Basic details
• Optional Details
• Subjects
• Document Upload
• Review

Now let us go through these sections one by one.

Choose State/ UT

In this segment, you need to

1. Fill your state/UT
2. Choose the identity type you are using (Aadhar, passport, ration card, etc.)
3. Fill in the identity type number
4. The course you are applying for
5. Whether you are an existing student or not

Once you fill in these details, move on to the next section.

BASIC DETAILS

Under this section, you need to fill in the following details:

1. Name of the candidate
2. Father’s name
3. Mother’s name
4. DOB
5. Gender
6. Aadhar Number
7. Mobile Number
8. Email

Other than this, you need to fill in the ADDRESS details, which includes:

1. House number
2. Area
3. Landmark
4. State and district
5. Pincode

The next segment Includes OTHER INFORMATION like

1. Caste
2. Type of disability
3. Previous qualification
4. Part-time admission
5. Medium of study
6. Previous education status etc.

After filling in all the necessary information, tick the declaration to move further.

SUBJECTS

In this section :

1. You need to select the subjects you have previously studied and the previous exam details.
2. You need to select 7 Subjects for the new course.

EXAM CENTER PREFERENCE

In this section, you need to choose the exam center. To choose the exam center, choose:

1. Country
2. State/UT
3. District
4. Exam Centre

• Once you fill in these details, you need to move further and select the exam dates and subject.
• Now, click on the Next button, and the next section will appear.

DOCUMENT UPLOAD

Following documents need to be submitted under document Upload

• Passport size photo
• Identity document (Aadhar Card)
• Caste certificate
• Marksheets

The last section is :

REVIEW

Under this section, you need to review the whole application and once you are done with the review, submit the application.

*Make the necessary modifications if required

Once you have completed the information, the last step i.e.

STEP 5: Click on the Make Payment option

STEP 6: Choose the ideal Payment Gateway

You can easily register for the NIOS ODE 2022 exam by following these steps.

Once you register for the exam, you will have access to an Admit Card a few days before the examination.

Once you follow the process, you will be eligible to take the NIOS ODE 2022 exam.
