CoWIN Covid-19 Vaccine Registration for Adults Over the Age of 18: A tweet on the official Twitter handle of “Aarogya Setu” confirmed that the registration process is now live on Cowin Portal Aarogya Setu App, and UMANG App for people aged 18 and up. It has been few days since the tweet and now the states are trying hard to get the younger population vaccinated. Vaccination centers especially for 18+ years old vaccination are being updated in the Cowin and Aarogya setu portal.

In a series of tweets, it was clarified that the number of appointments at state government and private centers depends on how many vaccination centers are ready for vaccination for those over the age of 18.

CoWIN Vaccine Registration for Adults Over the Age of 18 : Key Points

  1. According to the official Aarogya Setu handle, appointments for those aged 18 to 44 will be dependent on slots made available by private vaccination centers as well as the state government.
  2. The minimum age for each vaccination center is also shown alongside the center’s name. When the age shown is 18 or older, appointment slots are open.
  3. It does, however, state that more appointment slots will be available shortly. If no slots are currently open, beneficiaries must check back after some time to see if any have become available.

CoWIN Vaccine Registration Online for Above 18 Age: How to Register for COVID-19 vaccine online

Step 1 of the vaccination process is registration. Without registering and getting appointment confirmation, one can’t participate in the vaccination drive.

As the registrations are open for the third phase of the vaccination drive, users can now head over to either the CoWIN website or the Aarogya Setu and UMANG app for registration. Users can check the vaccination centers closest to them and sign up to get vaccinated by either Bharat Biotech-manufactured indigenous Covaxin, or by Oxford-AstraZeneca’s Covishield – which is being manufactured in India by Serum Institute of India (SII). The list of available vaccination centers along with capacity and age group can also be checked online.

  1. Open the Aarogya Setu app and click on the CoWIN tab.
  2. Select the vaccination registration, and input your phone number, and submit to get an OTP.
  3. Insert the OTP and verify. This will navigate you to the page where registration for vaccination can be done.
  4. Follow the same steps as mentioned above for registering on the CoWIN platform.

All those getting vaccinated will need to take two vaccine shots — the second dose of Covaxin must be taken between 28 to 42 days of the first dose, while the second dose of Covishield vaccine must be taken between 28 to 56 days of the first dose.

If you are lucky enough to find a center, don’t waste and single second. Book your appointment at that center and visit on the same day and time.

I have found a centre which is few hours away from my present location, shall i go?

During the COVID spread, it is not advisable to travel. Stay safe at your home. Very soon vaccine will be available at your nearest centre.
