The Kerala government has launched an online scholarship portal for backward students in the state. The portal’s name is E-Grantz 3.0, dedicated to applying for scholarships for pre-metric and post-metric students of the Kerala State. It is a good opportunity for the backward students of Kerala to avail themselves of the scholarship benefits from the government.
The interested and eligible students of the backward classes of Kerala State can visit the official portal egrantz.kerala.gov.in and apply for the scholarship.

Student Registration Process on E-Grantz 3.0 Portal
Let us look at the online procedure to register for the scholarship on the E-Grantz Portal.
- Visit the Official Portal of E-Grantz 3.0.
- It takes the online users to the Home Page below.

- Click on the One Time Registration button at the bottom of the home page.
- It then redirects the online user to the following page below.

- Enter the Aadhar Number and the Name of the Applicant as per the Aadhar.
- Click on the checkbox giving your consent to validate your name on Aadhar.
- Click on the Validate Aadhar.
- On the newly opened page, you can observe the pre-filled details like Aadhar Number and Applicant Name.

- Enter the Mobile Number, Date of Birth, and Other Details.

- It then completes the registration process of the students on the portal.

E-Grantz 3.0 Login Procedure Online
- The students can now login to the portal with their login credentials.
- Enter the Email ID / Aadhar Number and Password.

- Click on the Sign-in button.
- It then opens up the online registration form, as shown below.
- Enter the Student Name, Aadhar Number, Gender, Date of Birth, and Category.

- Upload the Caste Certificate and select the caste, district, village, local body type, local body, and block.

- Answer the Yes/No for the question: Are you a day scholar.

- Enter the complete details of the Permanent Address like Address, District, and Pin Code.
- Click on the checkbox if the present Address is the same as the permanent Address.
- Under the Other details, Enter/Select the Name of the Father, Category, Caste, Occupation, Name of the Mother, Category, Caste, Occupation, Guardian Name, Relationship, and Annual Income.
- Upload the income certificate less than 100 KB.
- Enter the Contact Number, Email Address, and click on the Next button.
- Under the bank details, upload the passport size photo and Passbook copy.
- Click on the Next button.
- Enter the status by clicking on the Ongoing Student or Course completed student.
- Under the institution details, Enter/Select the District, Institution Type, Institution, Course Group, Course, Course Year, and Choose Admission Type.

- Enter the Admission Type and Date of Joining.

- Verify all the details and click on the Save Button.
- It then displays the preview of the application form.
- The applicants can update the details such as Profile, Bank, and
- Photo.

- Candidates can also update the details, such as qualifications, in the dashboard.
- Click on the Apply for ‘Scholarships- Post-Matric” on the left pane of the dashboard.

- It then displays the below page, as shown.
- Click on the button: Click Here to Apply.
- Read all the instructions on the next page and click on the proceed button.

- Enter the Name of the Applicant, Date of Birth, Nationality, Native Place, Permanent, and Present Address on the newly opened page.

- Enter the details of the Caste and Religion, Occupation of Father and Mother.
- Answer Yes/No for other questions, as displayed below.

- Select the Mode of Accommodation.
- Upload the certificates such as Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, Allotment Memo, Bank Passbook, and Hostel inmate certificate.

- Verify all the details and click on the Save Button.
How to Track Application and Check Status of Post Matric Scholarship
- It then takes the online applicant to the below page where he/she can find the Application Status, Change institution, and Print Application.

- The applicants can click on the Application Status button to track and know the status of the application.
- It then displays the preview of the application form, as shown below.
