In a recent move, The Greater Chennai Corporation launched an online registration system for the COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday. Be advised that this online system is not linked to the Cowin portal. As per an update on the portal, “This booking is only to secure slots in the vaccination center. A separate CoWin booking will be done in the vaccination center by the officials“. So you can register on the Chennai corporation COVID 19 portal for vaccination slot booking and concerned officials will register on COWIN on your behalf.
The Chennai Corporation portal along with the online registration facility also provides a list of mass vaccination centers. Online registration is not mandatory, one can also walk in at the center for vaccination. Each center will reserve one-third of its vaccines for online registration. Two-thirds of the vaccines will be given on a walk-in basis.

GCC Online Vaccine Registration & Slot Booking
If you are interested in making use of this newly launched COVID 19 vaccination registration facility, kindly follow these steps :
- Visit the official GCC Vaccine website
- You will see two options, Book your Slot & Manage your Slot. As we want to book our seat, click on “Book your Slot”
- Provide your mobile number & verify via OTP
- If slots are available, it will be easier to book a slot online if not, you will see a message on the screen saying “Today Online Booking Closed”

You can also visit the vaccination center directly for getting vaccinated. However, for that, you must be aware of the available vaccination centers’ location (address). To find that, follow these steps:
- Visit Chennai Corporation Official Website

- Now, you will be able to see a complete list of available vaccination centers
- You can check the Date, Availability & Exact Address.
- Visit your preferred center as per the given date to get vaccinated
