Bharat Map Service Registration
The Bharat map service is now used for Geo Tagging during MSME registration. This way, each MSME’s exact location and other geographical data are captured.
In this article, we are discussing the Bharat Map service and its application of MSME Geo Tagging.
GIS stands for Geographic Information System. The computer-based system captures, stores, analyzes, and displays geographically referenced data. GIS technology allows users to visualize, question, interpret, and understand data in many ways that reveal relationships, patterns, and trends in maps, globes, reports, and charts. GIS is used in various applications such as natural resource management, urban planning, emergency management, public health, transportation planning and logistics.
Bharat Maps is a multi-layer GIS platform that provides citizens and government officials access to a wide range of geospatial data and tools for decision-making, planning, and resource management.
Bharat Maps is part of the Digital India initiative to digitally empower society by facilitating location-based/GIS-based decision-making for planning, e-governance, and better utilization of resources available.
GEO Tagging of MSME using Bharat Map Service
Geo-tagging of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) using the Bharat Map Service of the Government of India is a way to mark the position of MSMEs on a map using geospatial technology. The government of India has started the Bharat Maps Service, a geospatial library of India that has many layers, can be scaled, and has a lot of information.
This service helps government bodies, businesses, and individuals make decisions based on where they are. By putting geotags on MSMEs on this map, the government can find out where they are, what they do, and how they help the local economy. This knowledge can help plan and carry out policies for MSMEs, like giving them incentives and subsidies to help them grow and develop. It can also help find the places where there aren’t any MSMEs so that steps can be taken to encourage creation new ones there.
